Long days at a desk are a common trigger for stiffness. Small changes, repeated daily, tend to help more than one perfect chair.

1. Move every 30 minutes

Stand up, walk to get water, or roll your shoulders. Changing position matters more than finding one ideal posture.

2. Bring the screen to you

Set the top of the screen at about eye level so you are not leaning forward to read.

3. Support your feet

Feet flat on the floor or a footrest helps you sit back in the chair.

4. Keep the keyboard close

Elbows roughly at your sides, not reaching forward.

5. Build in a short walk

A ten-minute walk at lunch is one of the simplest ways to ease stiffness.
